When none of it works
Sound is a tool, not a treatment — and sometimes the answer is a doctor, not a playlist.
Weeks of broken sleep that no routine touches are worth taking seriously. Sleep apnoea, thyroid trouble, pain, anxiety and a dozen ordinary medications all disrupt nights, and none of them care how good your recording is.
We write about sound because it helps at the margins — it makes a decent night easier to reach and a restless one less lonely. It is not a substitute for a diagnosis.
If you have been tired for months, book the appointment first. The quiet hour will still be there afterwards, and it works far better on a body that is not fighting something else.
